To begin your orthodontic treatment, our Distillery District team will take an impression of your mouth so that your personalized aligners can be created. Once the aligner trays are sent to our facility, our team will schedule you to return to receive your first pair and go over instructions for wearing them. Your aligners must be worn for a minimum of 20 – 22 hours every day and only taken out just before brushing, flossing, eating, or drinking. Approximately every 1 – 2 weeks, you should swap your current pair of Invisalign® aligners. Our team will help you set up periodic follow-up assessments at Restor Dental so your dentist can track your teeth straightening progress. The length of time needed for Invisalign® aligners will vary according to personal cosmetic goals and needs; however, many patients require using Invisalign® aligners for approximately 12 – 24 months. When your orthodontic care is done, it is very important to prevent unwanted shifting by wearing a set of custom retainers that we will provide, which will help your Invisalign® results last a long time.
